Haitian spaghetti
Here is a simple recipe for Haitian spaghetti
Ingredients
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 4 hot dogs
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- salt and pepper, to taste
- water, to boil the spaghetti
Instructions
- Boil the spaghetti in salted water and oil according to package directions. Drain and reserve. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the hot dogs, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and garlic, fry until softened. Incorporate the spaghetti, let it cook for a few minutes (5-10 minutes) and add the onions and peppers. Serve hot and enjoy your Haitian spaghetti! Feel free to adjust the seasonings according to your taste preferences.
