Haitian cornmeal drink

Ingredients
- 1 cup coarse cornmeal
- 4 cups water
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- sugar, to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal with 2 cups water until well combined.
- Filter the mixture into a saucepan, removing all solid particles. Add the remaining 2 cups water and the cinnamon stick to the pot.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens (about 10-15 minutes).
- Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool. Once cooled, add vanilla extract, condensed milk, sweetened condensed milk and sugar to taste. Mix well until everything is combined.
- Strain the mixture to remove any remaining solids. Cool in the refrigerator before serving.
